And because it doesn't require the mess or expense of gas and oil, this riding mower emits zero carbon emissions, fumes, and odors.pbSimple, Straightforward Operation/bbrComplete with an easily accessible seat, this revolutionary mower is not only environmentally friendly, but also incredibly easy to use. The mower is operated through simple hand controls, and the included bagger easily detaches without tools for quick emptying.pTo get the Recharge Mower ready for us, simply plug the included UL approved Smart Charger directly into any standard wall outlet. Charge the unit overnight, and it will be ready to mow the next morning--for up to three hours, more than enough time to cut any standard size lawn.pbPowerful Mower for a Perfectly Manicured Lawn/bbrWhen it comes to performance, the Recharge Mower won't let you down. The two long-life, 900-watt electric blades spin at 3,800 RPM for fast cutting. And five selectable cutting heights in half-inch increments from 0.75 to 2.75 ensure a perfectly manicured result.pThe Recharge Mower also features a 27-inch wide cutting path--bigger than conventional walk-behind mowers, yet small enough to allow for free movement through an average fence gate, giving you convenient access to front and rear yards. The powerful rear-wheel-drive electric motor provides abundant forward and reverse momentum.pbDesigned with Safety in Mind/bbrThe Recharge Mower was designed with a host of features that ensure optimum user safety. To start, an operator-presence switch prevents the unit from functioning when the operator leaves the seat. Additionally, a blade engagement switch requires two actions to initiate the activation of the blade, and reverse speed limiting means the mower will only operate at half the normal forward speed while in reverse. For further safety, this mower operates quietly, so it's easy on your ears.pbRugged, Durable Construction for Long Life/bbrThe Recharge Mower is ultra-durable and won't need tune-ups or special maintenance. Built to last, it boasts a resilient body that's perfectly fitted over a coated and welded metal frame. Additionally, its sealed 36v38Ah batteries are center mounted to improve balance and weight distribution, while its cutting blades are housed within the metal shrouded deck for extra protection against wear and tear.pWhat's more, all of the Recharge Mower's connections are tight and weatherproofed with shrink wrap, and the electronic components are safely positioned and shielded under the operator seat to prevent damage.pThe Recharge Mower conforms to UL1447 and ANSI B71.1 standards and comes with a two-year limited warranty.pbWhat's in the Box/bbrMower with three sealed batteries; grass catcher; charger; and operator's manual.pbr clear="all" The familiar look of the physical unit was intentionally selected for reliability, stability and especially for the ease of access to the drivers seat. The compact size allows the RECHARGE MOWERTM to drive right through a standard fence gate, easily transitioning from front lawn to rear, where other riding mowers simply will not go. Even the included rear mounted grass catcher is easily emptied and installed without tools or special skills. The resilient body is perfectly fitted over a coated and welded metal frame providing long dependable life. The sealed 36v38Ah batteries are center mounted improving balance and weight distribution. The DUAL long life and powerful 900 watt electric cutting blades are housed within the metal shrouded deck providing you with a 27 inch wide cutting path. The machine doesn't work and the manufacturer knows it!!! - Teresa Adler - Oshkosh, WI
I ordered this machine through Amazon and it was delivered promptly. I was very excited to have this machine, hopped on it and drove down my drive....until it stopped. And then it started up again and I drove a little further....until it stopped. And then it started up again and I was able to mow a couple of strips in my lawn....until it stopped. And this time it didn't start up again, I'm in the farthest part of my yard and the wheels are locked up. I, a 56 year old woman, had to drag this 250# mower across the yard with its locked wheels to get it back into the garage. Monday I call the toll free number only to find out that it's a bad relay and that the manufacturer KNEW there was a problem with the machine but sold them anyway! They willingly admitted the problem was theirs and will be sending a repair man to exchange it someday in the future. Meanwhile, I could have HIRED someone to mow my lawn many times over for 00 and I'm going to have to use my stinkin' push mower after all. They should put a freeze on selling this thing until they are certain it is FIXED!!

This here is a fine piece of machinery! I had to get rid of my ol John Deere after them neighbor kids busted her up and she sure does get me up the corner store and back with plenty gas to spare. Reckon she'd do ya right if you had grass to cut too, but we ain't got much lawn here at the trailer court and that feller cross the way got a goat that takes care of my grass good so I just use it fer ridin to the corner store to get my silver bullet. Them Briggs and Stratton engines is made here in America too so I ain't buyin no foreign made junk. Its red too so folks ridin out on the road can see her good when I go out for my victuals. I wish it had a spot where I could stick a six pack and maybe some cans of dinty moore on it but meanwhile I just tied a milk crate to it with some old bungee cords like them kids do with the bicycles. Reckon folks ain't gonna think of everythin a man needs but us Americans are problem solvers.

I've had two lawn tractors before I got the Poulon. I got the Poulon direct from the factory in a wooden crate. Getting the machine uncrated was not difficult after I realized I needed to let some air out of the tires so they would pull out of the slats holding the machine firmly in place. All I needed to do was attach the steering wheel, you'll need a cresant wrench. The mower already had oil in it. Added gasoline and it started right off first try. It cuts cleaner (more smoothly) than my old Ranch King. One thing I really like about the Poulon is the extreme ease of manuvering it around. It was almost like I have power steering as compared to the Ranch King or a MTD I owned several years ago. The Poulon makes far sharper turns than the others; not quite zero radius but a lot nearer to it. Another feature I really Appreciate is the neutral key position you can activate in order to cut while in reverse. The feature whereby you can set the hand brake and leave the mower still running, while you get off to remove something in the way, is a big help too. I haven't had the mower long enough to evaluate its longevity; but up to now its been one fine machine.

I hate mowing the lawn. HATE IT. But last June I purchased a home because my dogs are loud. :-) I had an electric push mower already (love it; very lightweight), but I'm afraid to use it in the springtime when it rains more often. Even if there's one day without showers, I have to get out there an mow regardless. br / To make mowing more bearable, I shopped around for an electric start, self-driven push mower. I found a Toro online that sounded good and went to Home Depot to purchase it. As I was walking to the door, I thought, "Dang, I wish they made a tiny riding lawn mower for my tiny yard--maybe that would be easier and more fun." br / Talk about an answer to my prayers! I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked in and saw the WE1! Though it was priced twice as high as the push mower I'd planned for, I snatched it up and took it home that night. It's the first riding mower I've ever used to actually mow; my Grandpa used to let us ride around the farm on his with the blade disengaged. :-)br / Since my yard/sod is less than a year old and I have not top-dressed it, I had the deck too low and wound up scalping a few bumps. On the normal parts of ground, the other heights seemed too high. Go figure.br / I, too, am slightly disappointed with the turning radius, but that just means that I have to break out the string cutter (hmmm...is this Weed Eater's evil plan? lol).br / I'm sure my neighbors must think I'm the laziest person since my lawn's so small I am only 36yrs old, but it is so much more preferable to having an unmown lawn and dealing with the HOA the City. I also was able to use it as a leaf blower to clean the sidewalks afterwards. br / I am pretty excited to have this mower. My 70yr old mom sometimes visits for a month at a time, and she will be interested in mowing while I'm at work. ;-) br / Over all, I am very pleased with the mower; it lets me knock out an unpleasant chore quickly and in a fun way without expending so much physical effort that my body's out of commission for a week! Yay! Recommended!br /**Note: if you are not familiar with engines, read the entire manual before using it, no matter how annoying it is to not get started right away. There is a lot of good information in there, like how to drain the oil, etc.br /Be advised that it ships with oil already in it--I did not know this because I did not read the manual. As a result, I overfilled the oil and had to siphon some out. It could've ruined the engine forever. Huge pain in the butt.br /----Update----br /Still loving this mower! I'd really like to know when the mulch kit will be available, though. I guess 'til then I'll continue to dress like a train robber. 3:|

WE-ONE - best size/cost for small-medium lawns - Ralph L. Sanders -
I have found that I was in the same position as the first 2 reviewers, a medium size yard, that takes about 1 hour to mow by walking. I didn't see buying the smallest Sears or Home Depots 36 or 42 inch riding mower for my yard. Yard Machine made a 28 inch mower about 6 years ago and when I got the financies to purchase it, Yard Machine Co. had discontinued it, it was a 28 inch mower. Snapper has a 28 inch mower but wants 00 for it. I was saving to buy it. Since Home Depot had it and WalMart, I did the same thing, grabbed it up before it is discontinued. As for liking it, I love it, even though its been raining every other day since I recieved the crated box. So I'm excited, and will give this great review based on the others reviews, and basically for the manufacturer for manuifacturing an economically viable riding mower for all those with small to medium lawns and have no need for dual bladed mowers. br /br /My next request is, when will Weedeater (or Husqvarna) offer the accessories for this mower, like a grass catcher, or do I have to invent/modify one to fit this one. br /br /P.S. Sorry Amazon, your cost was higher than Home Depots and Walmart. But you get a plus for having the review section, which I use with the upmost regards.br /I will give an update to this when I get to use it...if that's possible.br /br /

Follow-Up After 1st use - M. Maglio - Williamsville, NY United States
I had high hopes for this mower as my initial review indicated. I had a chance to cut about 3/4" of grass today and have to say that the Weedeater One met or exceeded my expectations. Start up with key was fine...had to crank it twice. Mower deck engaged nicely as the engine revved up to accommodate the load. Engage it slowly and vibration is minimal. The blade is very powerful, cutting clean and evenly even in the fastest "transport" speed. I'm only 150 lbs. and this thing scooted me around like I wasn't even on it. Blade spins fast and sprays the clippings far out of the wide chute opening...they just disappeared into the grass. I may not even bother getting the mulch kit when it is available. My grass was dry, but got a little buildup around the inside of the deck. I won't be cutting wet grass so as not to have to clean it out or spoil the flow inside the deck housing. Easily trimmed around beds and walkways in a slower gear, and you can lightly push the clutch to slow a bit if needed without changing gears. The second highest cutting height was perfect for my lawn, I'll probably only use the next lowest late in the Fall and maybe never need the 1st and 4th level of cut. The blade comes out to the wheels so I didn't have to overlap...just lined up the wheel next to the previous pass and didn't miss a blade! The best thing as compared to my Personal Pace mower? This was pure fun, no work at all. Cut my time in half. So good that I won't need the walk behind at all any more, just a bit of string trimming. I wasn't so sure that the seat would be comfortable enough, but it truly was. Got done so fast I didn't need more padding or a cup holder! By the way, my lawn is fairly flat, no more than 5 degree slopes. As others have posted, be aware of 15 degree limit. Steering was nicer than I expected...I knew that turning circle would be fairly large, but I can deal with that. If you have a lot of straight runs and few obstacles, that would be ideal for this machine. It cuts grass like crazy. Tire marks in lawn are less than with my walk behind as these are wider and don't leave grooves, just flatten the grass a bit. These are more noticeable where I turned, but the ground is still moist from Spring rains...again great for longer runs. Stayed fairly clean, I just used the small leaf blower to get the clippings out of a few areas. Bottom line...if your situation is within the above parameters, you probably can't beat this One for the price...half the cost of 28" Craftsman or Snapper. No fatigue, lots of fun, excellent cut, nice look, nothing but barebones mower and it seems to do that job well. Buy one if you can find one!
